Vicki first realized she had some sort of knowing in her young teenage years, although at the time, like many people, she kept her feelings and sometimes fears to herself, not understanding her gift as it is called today.
To begin with she had her first viewing of a Spirit in her country town of Narrogin in W.A. Vicki's sister had lost her friend in a car accident and some 14 months later as she was lying in bed she had a clear vision of their departed friend and, not understanding Spirit at the time, Vicki screamed the house down.
Her mother came running in and all Vicki could say was "look mum, can't you see her too?". Unfortunately Vicki's mum couldn't. Her mother's next words were "its only a bad dream dear go back to sleep".
Vicki knew better but hey it was the Sixties and her family would always say she had a good imagination so she kept her Spirit encounters to herself, writing down things she imagined and delighted in when they came true.
Six months after the first sighting, Vicki received a message again whilst she was in bed. This time the Spirit friend spoke to her. Of course this was less frightening and Vicki was able to take on board what was coming through to her from the Spirit world. The message was later passed on and believed because only a hand full of people knew the complete happenings of the accident. It also laid to rest their fears pre-death.
After the family moved, Vicki began noticing things that she couldn't really explain such as, saying to her girlfriend "my boyfriend will be here tonight around dark" (he worked away doing seasonal work and only came down to the city if something had gone wrong at his work and there were no phones for them to contact each other on either). Vicki would set of to the bathroom to shower and put on her makeup, knowing that he would arrive soon even though she had not received any word from him. To the amazement of others he always arrived when she said he would.
Vicki also sensed when he was going to finish their
relationship (that was one part of her knowing she didn't like, but with joy comes at times sorrow). It was to be the first of many heart aches and only the beginning of many joys on her passage of learning in her life's journey.
What evolved over the next decade was to transform this young girl into a woman who needed to search out and find answers and reasons. With this outlook, Vicki became an avid reader of all books relating to Spiritual Growth and Knowledge. There was not much literature on the subject back then as Self Motivation was only just heading for Australia and what Vicki could find to read she soaked up like a sponge.
